WINGS Sailing, led by skipper Anna Östling, has been one of the leading teams in women’s match racing for more than 15 years, consistently competing at the highest level of the Women’s World Match Racing Tour. The team has been ranked among the world’s top women’s match racing teams for more than a decade and has claimed numerous victories, including the 2023 Women’s World Match Racing Tour season title, the 2024 Nordea Women’s Trophy at Match Cup Sweden and the 2025 Aspen Bermuda Women’s Match Race.

The team has sailed together since 2009 and has achieved many of its dream goals along the way. They competed in the inaugural Women’s Match Racing event at the 2012 London Olympics, became Women’s Match Racing World Champions in 2014 and 2016, and won their first WIM Series Championship in 2016.

WINGS Sailing has also plays an important role in developing women’s match racing and expanding the opportunities available to female sailors. The team has embraced new formats, boats and arenas, including competing in M32 catamarans, helping to open up new possibilities for women’s sailing while continuing to compete at the highest level of the sport.

Today, WINGS Sailing combines elite-level racing with a broader commitment to developing the next generation of female athletes and leaders. Through the WINGS Athletes Program, the team coaches and supports young female athletes across different sports and works with the Swedish Sailing Federation to educate and develop young female leaders within sailing.
