LEA VOGELIUS
WOW Racing is a Danish women’s match racing team based at Skovshoved Harbour and representing the Royal Danish Yacht Club (KDY), skippered by Lea Richter Vogelius. Between them, the sailors hold close to 100 years of match racing experience, having sailed together in shifting line-ups and under different skippers over the years. All of them sailing parents, they have stayed together through children and working lives.
The team holds a WIM Series title and several World Championship medals under a previous skipper. Lea took the helm in 2019 and brings long experience to the role. The team has returned to the Worlds several times and collected silver and bronze, but the World Championship gold has so far eluded them. This season WOW Racing competes on the 2026 Women’s World Match Racing Tour, aiming to hold its place at the top of the rankings.
